Developing the minimalist, yet japandi inspired aesthetic GjuLa was looking for in the renders, fitting the target audience, was essential. I analyzed the existing visual language of GjuLa and other studios, studied how their pieces are photographed in showrooms, and identified the key details that make their designs distinctive—materiality, joinery, proportions. The goal was to translate their physical craftsmanship into digital space without losing tactile quality.
Working in 3D I was able to quickly iterate through different interior designs, lighting setups and texturing to achieve a Composition, that is focused on highlighting form and material. I developed lighting setups that revealed texture and depth, choosing angles that emphasized the furniture's design intent. Color grading and camera positions were calibrated to match the studio's refined, minimal brand identity while adding depth to focus the viewer on the design pieces.
Models were built with precise proportions and material fidelity—capturing wood grain characteristics across three variations: cherry, oak, and ash. Beyond product turntables, I developed two complete room environments—a dining area and living room—inspired by Japandi interior design principles. Each scene was carefully lit to showcase how the furniture integrates into refined, minimal spaces. Lighting, color variation, and atmospheric detail were adjusted across all three wood textures, creating a cohesive visual system that demonstrates versatility while maintaining the studio's aesthetic integrity.
Final renders were delivered as high-resolution product stills and turntable detail shots for each wood variation—cherry, oak, and ash. The two room scenes provided contextual visualization, demonstrating how the furniture integrates into real living environments. All assets were color-corrected for consistency across variations and optimized for both web presentation and print materials. Deliverables included multiple file formats tailored to the studio's needs, ensuring flexibility for marketing campaigns, social media, and client presentations. The project gave the furniture studio a complete visual toolkit to showcase their designs across platforms.
